When to modify service levels
Modify your service levels if you want to:
- Change your service level display name to something more descriptive.
- Update the service level code used in your ecommerce or shipping platform.
- Display the transit time associated with a certain service level at checkout.
- Change the estimated transit time for your service level displayed at checkout.
- Stop displaying your transit time at checkout.
- Change to estimate duties and taxes for a service level, rather than collecting a landed cost at checkout, or vice versa.
Modify carrier service levels
To change the display name for carrier service levels:
- Log in to your Zonos Dashboard account.
- Go to Settings on the left sidebar.
- Select Rates.
- Select the carrier that owns the service level.
- Select the carrier service level you wish to modify.
- Click Edit details in the top right.
- Update the service level name or service level code.
To display transit time estimates, you have two options:

Add the estimated transit time directly into the name. For example, if the service level is UPS Worldwide Expedited, you can edit the name to show UPS Worldwide Expedited (3-5 Business Days) using the steps above.

Use the transit time display feature:
- Click Edit details
- Select Display shipping transit time
- Enter the transit time type (Days or Months)
- Enter the minimum transit time and maximum transit time
- Click Save details
Manage shipping service levels
Create and edit service levels.If you need to create a custom service level, change how your shipping service levels are displayed, or modify transit times, you can do this in Zonos Dashboard.
