Service levels

Manage shipping service levels

Create and edit service levels.

If you need to create a custom service level, change how your shipping service levels are displayed, or modify transit times, you can do this in Zonos Dashboard.

When to modify service levels

Modify your service levels if you want to:

  • Change your service level display name to something more descriptive.
  • Update the service level code used in your ecommerce or shipping platform.
  • Display the transit time associated with a certain service level at checkout.
  • Change the estimated transit time for your service level displayed at checkout.
  • Stop displaying your transit time at checkout.
  • Change to estimate duties and taxes for a service level, rather than collecting a landed cost at checkout, or vice versa.

Modify carrier service levels

To change the display name for carrier service levels:

  1. Log in to your Zonos Dashboard account.
  2. Go to Settings on the left sidebar.
  3. Select Rates.
  4. Select the carrier that owns the service level.
  5. Select the carrier service level you wish to modify.
  6. Click Edit details in the top right.
  7. Update the service level name or service level code.

To display transit time estimates, you have two options:

  1. Add the estimated transit time directly into the name. For example, if the service level is UPS Worldwide Expedited, you can edit the name to show UPS Worldwide Expedited (3-5 Business Days) using the steps above.

  2. Use the transit time display feature:

    • Click Edit details
    • Select Display shipping transit time
    • Enter the transit time type (Days or Months)
    • Enter the minimum transit time and maximum transit time
    • Click Save details
